This one-of-a-kind necklace begins with an authentic vintage watch movement—the intricate inner workings that once kept time ticking. We suspend it from a luxurious 2mm sterling silver rolo chain, allowing all those wonderful gears, markings and mechanical details to become the centerpiece.

Look closely and you’ll often discover tiny jewel bearings tucked among the gears. These weren’t simply decorative. Watchmakers used jewels to reduce friction between moving parts, helping their watches run smoothly and accurately. It’s one of our favorite details hidden inside these fascinating little pieces of mechanical history.

Because we use authentic vintage watch movements, no two necklaces will ever be exactly alike. The shape, size, gears, markings, jewel placement and patina will vary from piece to piece. These individual characteristics are exactly what make each necklace truly one of a kind.
