This sophisticated steampunk ring begins with an authentic vintage watch movement—the intricate inner workings that once kept time ticking. We give the movement a new life on a simple sterling silver split band, allowing all those wonderful gears, markings and mechanical details to take center stage.

Look closely and you’ll often discover tiny jewel bearings tucked among the gears. These weren’t simply decorative. Watchmakers used jewels to reduce friction between moving parts, helping their watches run smoothly and accurately. It’s one of our favorite details hidden inside these fascinating little pieces of history.

Because we use authentic vintage watch movements, no two rings will ever be exactly alike. The shape, size, gears, markings, jewel placement and patina will vary from piece to piece. That’s not a flaw—that’s exactly what makes each one special.
